Hello!
The attached packet has all sorts of ELA, Math and Science activities to help your child stay on track/ prepare for 3rd grade. I have also attached 100 writing prompts, this would be something fun to keep your kids writing fluency growing for 3rd grade. The prompts are fun and get the kids thinking outside the box! Below are links to all other educational resources to make summer break a fun learning opportunity! All logins are attached to the email I sent out after spring break when we were beginning virtual school. If you need any help or have questions I will be available by email! All of this is optional of course! I do recommend looking through the resources with your child and seeing what you both think will be a fun and beneficial summer activity! https://www.kidsa-z.com/main/Login I have assigned many books at the kids reading level and going up to keep them growing over summer! I would suggest having the kids write SWBST's for each book read to continue our summarizing skill. Or they could complete the attached "Book Report" sheet! The "Book Report" sheet the kids have had for virtual school said "Main Idea" and now says "Plot" this is because "Plot" is a term the kids will be learning next year and they can become familiar with. Plot means the main events of a play, novel, movie, or similar work, devised and presented by the writer as an interrelated sequence. https://www.readworks.org/student-authentication Code: DDVWUX I have assigned weekly articles for the kids to continue their comprehension practice. |
