Reading homework packets are due every Friday morning.
Homework will be inserted into clear protective sheets inside THE
BINDER. All homework will have practice on one side and an answer
key on the back to check their work.
Homework will be completed with a dry erase marker and is
completed at the student’s leisure and around your family schedule.
So, how is your child held accountable for homework?
Your child will have fluency checks that are directly tied to their
grade. If your child is not practicing the sheets inside THE BINDER,
then they are not going to be producing a high score on the fluency
checks. Remember, all homework is review from class lessons, as
well as, centers. Therefore, your child is set up for success: Class
lesson, class centers, and homework are all tied together in order to
achieve mastery of skills.
Lastly, your child’s homework sheets may not be the same as
their friends. Homework will be differentiated based upon need and
where a student is on learning a particular skill or standard. You are
going to notice that homework sheets stay the same for a week. This
is for repetition and skills practice.
